What? You've managed to avoid that hideous film that's being advertised everywhere? I can only assume that you simply don't find it amusing, in which case you're wrong. Google "beowulf trailer" and see if you laugh out loud.
Today I went to see said Beowulf film at Bradford's imax - quite a cinematic experience. I was worried that the 3D specs that were dished out would be wasted on my monoptic vision. But hurrah! it worked! Not sure how - I'm off to wikipedia it in a minute. And hurrah again! Beowulf was excellent! Not great for the feminist in me, but rich with hilarious phallic symbolism, macho grunting, great effects and a wondrous soundtrack. Get thee to Bradford! (Bet I never say that in a blog again.) However there was a moment of eye-stabbing. The last film I saw also featured eye-stabbing. I could develop a paranoia.
