so long, farewell...

Today is a truly sad day. I am lamenting the end of the Winter Olympics. I didn't even realise they were only to last for 2 weeks. Rubbish! So many exciting sports (ski a bit, shoot shit a bit, ski again... etc etc) and all of them over in 14 days? Outrageous. At least the finale was a beauty - Ricky Martin, that famous figure of Winter sports, made us proud. Snow, snow boards, skis, skates and ice, we salute you.

good news moon- the commonwealth games starts soon, so you can get into sport again. does it not make you feel guilty watching sport knowing well you do none yourself? Thats why I watch snooker. not darts though-i spend the whole time worried that a player will be suffer a heart attack mid game. incidentally, did it occur to you that a 'game of curling' has great applications for getting your partner to clean the flat once in a while?

Aha - you remind me of a wonderful thing, thanks Franien.

Am also a fan of snooker. And no, other sports don't induce guilt for not partaking. In fact, quite the opposite: I wonder why on earth people would train for hours on end every day just so they can jump a little bit further than other people with skis attached to their limbs. Odd.

Good point on the curling. Sweep, sweep! Bet those sweepers still don't sweep at home. Bet they're the worst for excuses. "Darling, I've been sweeping all day, do you really think I want to do it when I get home as well?"
